Jorey McComas
Lecturer
Jorey McComas currently serves as the Director of Education Services for Northern Humboldt Union High School District while also teaching Technology and School Leadership at the university level. His diverse career in education spans from Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon to 3-5th grade teacher in California. He's worn the hats of principal, teacher coach, and educational technology specialist, giving him a well-rounded view of the education world.
In his ed tech role, Jorey led district-wide training, chaired tech committees, and guided a school district into the Google for Education era. His academic journey includes an M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology, an Administrative Service Credential, a teaching credential, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies.
When he's not directing education services or shaping future education leaders, you'll find Jorey getting his hands dirty in the garden, whipping up something in the kitchen, hitting the trails with his family, or tossing a disc on the golf course. His passion for learning and problem-solving isn't just for the classroom - it's a way of life.
