Why did you choose this program?

I’ve always known that I want to be a teacher and this program seemed perfect to me!

How did this program prepare you for your job?

It taught me how to be the best teacher I could possibly be through a lot of fieldwork starting my very first semester, and worthwhile assignments.

What did you enjoy most about the program?

The relationships I formed with my cohort and professors, they will always be my role models. This program really sets you up for success if you put in the necessary work!

What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?

DO IT! I have friends who are in teacher programs at bigger schools and they did not get the same experience at all and feel underprepared going into the work field. I also 10/10 recommend doing the 5-year program in 4 years.

Other comments?

I was so sad when graduation came up because these were the best four years of my life and I am going to miss my HSU elementary education program SO much.
