James F. Woglom is an artist/educator and Assistant Professor in the Art Education area at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, California. He received his PhD from the University of Georgia, where he developed works regarding visual arts-based research methodologies and socially engaged art practices. His graphic novel about social justice-oriented teacher education, co-authored with Stephanie Jones, On Mutant Pedagogies, was released by Sense Publications in 2016, and was awarded the American Education Research Association’s Qualitative Research Special Interest Group’s Outstanding Book Award and the Society of Professors of Education Book Award in 2017.
